    Orange and White Striped Spider

    Found this evening, while pulling weeds. In Albuquerque, New Mexico.

    It's an Orb Weaver in Araneus ... I can't see some of the parts I need to see to narrow it down to species. Two possibilities are the Cat-Faced Spider (Araneus gemmoides) and Araneus illaudatus.

    My mother sent me the pics, the one from the backside isn't very clear, I think she took it while running, hahaha. All I know is its big...
