As I was watering some trees, I saw some blue looking ball moving in the grass. I looked closer, and saw that it was a spider carrying what looked to be a blue egg sac underneath itself. It was found near Weyburn, Saskatchewan, at 3:00 on July 18. From the little I've read about spiders, it seems like it might be from the family lycosidae, because the egg sac (if that's what it is) is underneath the abdomen (presumably attached to the spinnerets). Sorry about the blurry photos-- too dark to see eye arrangement. I'm having a hard time with my camera lately. The macro doesn't seem to be focussing correctly.
