    black spider with white spot on back

    Hello, this spider was found in the bathroom in Pittsburgh, PA this morning.

    You have a jumping spider there, most likely a Phiddipus sp., though which one I can't say due to the picture quality. There's absolutely nothing to fear from these little ones, they are just super curious ground hunters with great eyesight and awesome jumping ability that would make Michael Jordan jealous.

    I agree, a "Bold Jumper," Phidippus audax. See other posts in this archive folder for more (and better?) images to compare to.
